The UMinho Scientific Research Initiation Award 2024 ceremony took place on 5 December.
Education student Diana Maria Marques Nienaber was one of the winners, in the Social Human Sciences panel, with the project ‘Academic stressors of 1st year higher education students’, developed at CIEd, under the guidance of CIEd researcher Joana Casanova.
Education undergraduate student Mariya Nikitina also took part in the ceremony, presenting her work ‘The role of youth organisations as spaces for non-formal education and social inclusion’, developed under the guidance of CIEd researchers Carolina Jardim and José Augusto Palhares.
The Centre for Research in Education congratulates Diana Nienaber and Matiya Nikitina on the high quality of their work, as well as the CIEd researchers Joana Casanova, Carolina Jardim and José Augusto Palhares, who were responsible for monitoring and guiding these research projects.
On January 8, the Living Smart Schools Online Meeting#1 took place, focusing on the Living Smart Schools (LSS) project: Well-being and resilience of principals and teachers for an inclusive multicultural Education in Europe (Project: 101249336 — ERASMUS-EDU-2025-PEX-TEACH-ACA).
