On 31 March, the PhD exams in Educational Sciences, specialising in Mathematics Education, were taken by Alice Patrícia Lopes Faro e Santos, with Floriano Augusto Veiga Viseu and Manuel António Ferreira Silva as her supervisors.
With the thesis ‘Mathematical modelling and social justice in the learning of functions by students in the 3rd Cycle of Basic Education’, she was awarded the mention of ‘Very Good’.
Coordinated by CIEd researchers Leonor L. Torres and José Augusto Pacheco, the work brings together contributions from senior researchers and recent PhD graduates in Education Sciences.
