
The 11th session of the Network Dialogues ‘What is the transformative potential of a doctorate in the development of teacher-authors and in their contexts of activity?’ will be held on 30 January at 6pm in the IE Hall of Acts. ‘.
Based on the testimony of the authors of two doctoral studies in the field of Education Sciences, the aim of this session is to promote the sharing of experiences related to the development of research projects in educational/training contexts and to encourage reflection on the challenges and possibilities of transferring competences acquired during the doctorate. Specifically, it will discuss the transformative potential of the doctorate in the personal and professional spheres of the teacher-authors, as well as in their contexts of activity, during and after their studies. The discussion will be complemented by the preliminary results of an ongoing study on the impact of doctoral studies on primary and secondary school teachers, from the perspective of various actors.
The session, organised by Ana Castro, Elisabete Macedo and Osvaldino António, will be moderated by CIEd researchers Flávia Vieira and Sílvia Monteiro and will operate in a hybrid format (ZOOM link to be announced later).
