The Covid-19 outbreak has forced schools to adopt new ways of learning that are limiting and incomplete, as teachers and students work remotely. The challenges this situation has imposed on teachers include the need to quickly develop high-quality educational content, adjust teaching methodology and make meaningful use of a variety of digital tools.
The BeReady project builds a strategic partnership for digital readiness in STEM education, with the aim of supporting secondary school teachers of STEM subjects in continuing their online teaching. To achieve this goal, teachers will be offered an online course that revolves around the online realization of STEM projects, along with educational resources (videos, presentations, simulations and others).
The innovative aspect of the project is that, rather than simply providing teachers with ready-to-use resources, it seamlessly reveals the methodology (pedagogical and technical) on the basis of which these resources have been designed. After practically involving teachers in the BeReady course, the project goes further, inviting them to design their own STEM projects and resources and try them out online with their students.
