On June 11 and 12, 2024, the Research Centre on Education and the Directive Board of the Doctoral Course in Educational Sciences held the 2nd edition of the Doctoral Days in Educational Sciences.
The first day of the event included an Opening Session, followed by the Opening Conference, given by Isabel Menezes and moderated by Sílvia Monteiro. Also in the morning, there was a Round Table with António Vicente, José Augusto Pacheco and Leonor L. Torres, moderated by José António Brandão Carvalho. In the afternoon, Panel 1: Recent research in Educational Sciences, moderated by Carolina Jardim and Joana Casanova, included presentations of the doctoral work of recent PhD graduates in Educational Sciences.
The second day of the Doctoral Days in Educational Sciences was marked by Panel 2: Emerging research in Educational Sciences, where more than 30 students from the Doctoral Program in Educational Sciences presented their doctoral projects and/or the preliminary results of their research, in parallel sessions, with the participation of commentators from inside and outside the Academy. The day ended with the Closing Conference, given by Mário Azevedo and moderated by Leonor L. Torres.

The meeting, which was attended by Professor Maria José da Silva Fernandes, from the Paulista State University in Brazil, was a time to talk about and discuss the work carried out by the members of TS1, as well as possible research, collaborations and partnerships with the Brazilian university.
