On June 26, Xavier Jorge Mafuassa took the PhD exams in Education Sciences, specializing in Literacies and Portuguese Teaching, with António Carvalho Silva as his supervisor.
With the thesis “The Teaching of Portuguese as a Non-Mother Tongue in Angola and the Influence of Autochthonous Languages: the Case of Kikongo in Uíge”, he was awarded a “Very Good” grade.
On July 9, CIEd researchers presented two papers, co-authored with Pedro Abrantes.
