CIEd collaborating researcher Maribel Pinto took part in the Scratch Conference 2024, which took place on July 24.
The Ibero-American Online Community of Practice for Early Childhood Educators – the ArcaComum association – of which Maribel Pinto is President, had a project funded by the MIT Media Lab (USA) and DevTech Research Group (Boston College) 2022-2024, which was highlighted during this conference in the presentation by researcher Francisca Carocca, who works with Professor Marina Umaschi Bers, with whom the Community of Practice group and the ArcaComum Association worked for 2 years on the translation of the “Coding As Another Language” curriculum (https://sites. bc.edu/codingasanotherlanguage/scratchjr-curricula-portuguese/). At this conference, which was attended by over 600 participants, three examples of internationally translated curricula were highlighted, one of which involved the ArcaComum team.
On January 8, the Living Smart Schools Online Meeting#1 took place, focusing on the Living Smart Schools (LSS) project: Well-being and resilience of principals and teachers for an inclusive multicultural Education in Europe (Project: 101249336 — ERASMUS-EDU-2025-PEX-TEACH-ACA).
