The International Symposium on Adult Education: Educating for the Practice of Freedom took place on 25, 26 and 27 March.
Over the three days, there were daily talks, with six speakers:
– ‘Theoretical Foundations of Liberating Education’, with interventions by Prof Dr Afonso Scocuglia (Federal University of Paraíba, Brazil) and Prof Dr Armando Loureiro, (University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro, Portugal), moderated by Prof Dr Antonio Gomes da Silva.
– ‘Dialogical Methodologies and Pedagogical Practices’, with interventions by Prof. Ms. Cristiana Montes (Abelheira Elementary School, Portugal) and Prof. Dr. Antonio Gomes da Silva (Federal University of Campina Grande, Brazil).
– ‘Contemporary Challenges and Future Perspectives’, with interventions by Prof Dr Custódia Martins (University of Minho, Portugal) and Prof Dr Luiz Gonzaga Gonçalves (Federal University of Paraíba, Brazil).
On July 9, CIEd researchers presented two papers, co-authored with Pedro Abrantes.
