The ELINET Association is the follow-up to the ELINET network project, which was set up in February 2014 and received a grant of 3 million euros from the European Commission to complete an ambitious two-year work programme. The objectives of this project were to develop evidence-based tools for all actors in the various fields of local, regional, national and transnational literacy, to support existing activities and initiate new ones to reduce the number of poor readers and improve literacy policies in all EU member countries.
