On November 3 and 4, the second transnational meeting of the TAME – Teacher Academy for Maker Education project was held at the University of Weingarten, Germany. The UMinho team was represented by its coordinator, CIEd researcher Laurinda Leite.
In addition to providing an update on ongoing activities, the meeting provided an opportunity to discuss European guidelines on the development of digital skills, share information on the integration of maker education into the curricula of the various partner countries, and discuss the framework for the training of teachers, future teachers, and students, to begin next year.
The TAME project aims to develop materials and train teachers to promote maker education in schools. It is coordinated by Tallinn University (Estonia) and has as partners, in addition to the University of Minho (Portugal), Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece), the European Lab for Educational Technology (Greece), Trinity College Dublin (Ireland), the University of Education Weingarten (Germany), the Institute of Educational Policy (Greece), and Kadrina Secondary School (Estonia). The next meeting will be held at UMinho, expected in June 2026.
On January 8, the Living Smart Schools Online Meeting#1 took place, focusing on the Living Smart Schools (LSS) project: Well-being and resilience of principals and teachers for an inclusive multicultural Education in Europe (Project: 101249336 — ERASMUS-EDU-2025-PEX-TEACH-ACA).
