The aim of this research project is to develop a tool to support professional reflection in the context of the internship of UMinho’s master’s degrees in teaching. The research objectives are:
(i) to evaluate the perceptions of trainees, cooperating supervisors and supervisors on the contribution of the internship to the development of four areas of competence: specialized competences related to the teaching profession; creativity competences; socio-emotional competences; career management competences;
(ii) to understand the potential and limitations of IDPPE in promoting reflection throughout the internship, in supervisory support and in improving trainees’ personal and professional skills.
The Portuguese participants are the University of Minho, through the Institute of Education and the School of Sciences, and the Alberto Sampaio School Group.
The application was supported by Braga City Council, Erre and DST, who recognized the relevance of the objectives to be achieved.
